SPINACH PREP AND BOILING METHOD

Boil water and add 1/2 tspn of salt
-
Remove roots but make sure to not cut off the very end of the stem so that the leaves stay connected
-
Wash well removing any sand or dirt
-
Place spinach in boiling water firstly submerging the stems and then pushing down the leave
-
When the water re-boils remove the spinach and rinse in cold water
-
Gather all the stems together (below right images)
-
Squeeze out all the water
-
Cut the end of the stem of the spinach off and cut the remaining amount of spinach into 4cm length
